The Cary Junior Trojan program has seven football divisions that are classified according to age and weight per the rules of the The Chicagoland Youth Football League (TCYFL). These divisions are Flag, Bantam, Featherweight, Middleweight, Lightweight, JV and Heavyweight. Within each of these divisions the Cary Junior Trojans could have two types of teams; "Big10", and "Pac10".
Cary Jr Trojans have flag football leagues for the 5/6, 7/8, and 9/10 year olds.
Flag football games are played between Cary, Prairie Ridge, and Lake in the Hills teams every Saturday at the baseball outfields adjacent to our main field at the Cary Jr High. The season runs from late August to early November. All teams finish the season by playing in a Super Bowl celebrating the teams hard work throughout the season.
There is one "Big10" team per division that (typically) plays on Sunday. The players are selected by the team's head coach to represent Cary Junior Trojans most competitive players at each age and weight level.
Remaining players are equally split among "Pac10" teams that play mostly on Saturday. For these teams, the rules mandate equal playing time and the emphasis is instruction, development and participation.
